For one of our client, we are currently looking for Candidates for the role of:

Position: Junior Field Engineer
Location: Tarnów

YOUR ROLE:
The Junior engineers are responsible for mastering the role of the Field Service Engineer the installation and servicing of all products within the designated territory.

This is a home based role with a requirement to travel throughout the territory as required and as directed by the Manager. Engineers are informed by the office in Poland or the appropriate Regional Service Manager which work needs to be undertaken, engineers are then expected to work under their own initiative to complete the tasks appointed, if necessary, problems or issues are escalated to the office in Poland.

Training and assessment is carried out both in the classrooms at employer locations and on site as necessary. Engineers will not be deemed to be competent to install or maintain a product until the Service Manager has confirmed that the relevant competences and skill have been achieved. Engineers with the relevant knowledge and experience will be expected to guide and assess other engineers on site and advise the Service Manager accordingly.

Activities include learning, shadowing of experienced Engineers, planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work. Jobs can either be completed within 1 day or may require the engineer to be away from home for several days at a time. There is a need for occasional travel to sites outside of territory.

Technically the work involves obtaining a very diverse skill set including fault finding complex electronic systems down to component level, HT and RF power generation, vacuum systems, water systems, pressurized gas systems, mechanical assembly and adjustment of the radiation beam to achieve the required output specification. The Employee shall also fulfill and act on oral and/or written assignments, tasks, instructions and orders of his immediate supervisors, other relevant officers and authorized representatives of the Employer, necessitated by business requirements and as such deemed to be work assignments.

The Junior Field Service Engineer is typically promoted to a Field Service Engineer once the necessary minimal skillset is obtained, which usually takes 12 or more months and is subject to Manager's evaluation.

ROLE:

  • To study the Field Service Engineer profession
  • To have basic knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, pc's & servers, networking, and a general knowledge of some engineering disciplines
  • To learn how to fault find and repair at board level & below
  • Constantly improve communication skills at all levels, written and verbal output shall be concise and accurate
  • To complete the administration requirements of the role in accordance with the quality system in a timely and accurate manner
  • To follow at all times quality and safety policies
  • To be prepared to work as required at times and locations dictated by the needs of the customer
  • To provide feedback to the Service Manager any problems, solutions or opportunities which may need to be communicated to other parties
  • To carry out without supervision corrective maintenance within acceptable time-scales prompting escalation of the problem if required and maintaining ownership of problem until customer is satisfied



REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree or a Technical College Degree, or last year of studies in a related engineering discipline
  • Ability to travel domestically - locations as Tarnów, Kraków, Katowice, Lublin
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • English is a must - minimum level B2
  • Demonstrable drive and commitment to employer and the tasks in hand
  • Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, networking
  • Clean Driving Licence is a plus
  • To be able to manage own workload
  • To be highly motivated, dynamic
  • To have a strong customer focus
